Policy Effective: April 1, 2004
Families that do not have a 36-month time limit are the following “child only” families:
Assistance is provided to a specified relative, to meet the needs of the children being cared for because a parent is either not available, or is unwilling to do so, AND the relative is not included in the family assistance unit See policy 205-4 for more information on the specified relative program.
All parents residing in the household are Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients. This is because an SSI recipient’s needs and income cannot be included in the family’s filing unit.
