Financial Assistance
No one may receive Family Employment Program (FEP), FEP - Two-Parent (FEP-TP), Emergency Assistance (EA), or Adoption Assistance if they have already received Temporary Assistance for Needy-Families (TANF) in another household in the same month, and when the TANF funds received are applied to the customer’s lifetime limit. The entire household is not eligible for FEP, FEP-TP, EA, or Adoption Assistance in any month a parent received the TANF grant in another household. When a child has already received TANF or Specified Relative in another household, that child is not eligible to be included in the Financial benefit and the child is not considered an eligible child for that household for that month.
No one may receive General Assistance (GA) if they have already received GA in another household in the same month.
See policy 427-13 for Financial assistance received from tribes.
A customer who receives assistance from the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is not eligible for General Assistance in the same benefit month.
