Policy Effective: July 1, 2025

Residents of some institutions are not eligible for SNAP assistance. Federal regulations define residents of institutions as residents of an institution when that institution provides them with over 50% of 3 meals each day as part of their normal service. This includes students in institutions of higher learning who receive over 50% of their daily/weekly meals from a student meal plan.
