Policy Effective: July 1, 2021

Foster care parents are eligible for Child Care benefits for their foster children. This includes the child of a teen parent in foster care. See policy 425-12 on Independent Living Situations.

Foster Care households may include their own children and foster care children.

Treat the foster care parent as you would a parent. Determine if it is a single parent or a two-parent household. Determine need for child care, count the income and assess the co-payment.
