Policy Effective: May 1, 2008

There are times when multi-generational family members reside in the same home. Depending upon the situation, they may be considered one filing unit.

All unemancipated children must be included in the filing unit. This also includes any children of an unemancipated teen parent.

If an emancipated or unemancipated teen parent needs child care for their own child(ren), they will have to apply on their own case. See policy 240-1F for more information about teen parent child care.
