Other Household Compositions

Expecting parents with no other eligible child, the parents of the unborn may begin eligibility in the third calendar month prior to the month of expected delivery. The unborn child is not included in the financial assistance until born.

Parents who are not married, but the man-in-the-house has acknowledged relationship to the unborn. The unborn child is not included in the financial assistance until born.

If either or both of the parents do not meet U.S. citizenship requirements, the remaining members may be eligible as long as all other eligibility requirements are met. See policy 321-1A for participation requirements.
