Policy Effective: April 1, 2004
Applicants may voluntarily supply Social Security Numbers (SSN’s) for all members of the household on the application form. If a customer chooses not to provide a SSN, benefits will not be denied or withheld so long as all factors of eligibility are met. SSN’s that are supplied will automatically be verified with the Social Security interface. See 720-6 for policy on verifying SSN's. If an SSN is not valid according to the Social Security interface, further verification will be requested to confirm the customer’s identity.
