Policy Effective: July 1, 2025

Child Care may be authorized to support employment for parents who work evening shifts and need child care services for either the evening shift or during the day for sleep time, but not for both. The Department of Health and Human Services, DHHS, DHHS, Office of Licensing (OL) determines the status of all Family Friend Neighbor (FFN) providers. As part of the Department of Workforce Services - FFN Child Care Provider approval process, OL will determine where the provider is caring for the children and if they are providing services during the time a parent is sleeping.
