Benefits for Children with Special Child Care Needs

Child Care is available through the month the child with a disability and special need turns 18 years of age.

The child with a special need may qualify for an increased payment rate, as follows:

Infants in license exempt Family Friend Neighbor (FFN) Provider settings may receive up to the residential certificate/license exempt center settings infant rate.

Infants in residential certificate/license exempt center settings certified may receive up to the family home infant rate.

Infants in a family home settings may receive up to the licensed center infant rate.

For all other ages, allow payment at the infant rate in the provider category of care being used
