227-5 Review of Good Cause Determination

The circumstances that lead to the approval of good cause for not cooperating could change between the time the initial claim was approved and the next review. If you have reason to believe that the circumstances have changed, review the good cause claim at the next eligibility review. Document the reasons you expect changes in these circumstances before reviewing the good cause claim.

If the changes show that good cause no longer exists, the recipient must comply with Medical Support Enforcement requirements.

Recipients may request a good cause determination at any time during the certification period or at review.
