Date Effective: January 1, 2014

1. Check IEVS electronic data sources for all new applicants and household members whose income must be considered to determine eligibility. DO NOT delay CHIP eligibility to wait for Income Match reports.

2. When electronic IEVS match information or printed match reports RETURN BEFORE the case has been approved, resolve any conflicting information that affects current eligibility BEFORE approving the application. Ask the individual to explain the discrepancy. Request hard copy verification if needed. Extend the application period if needed to resolve the conflicting information. (See Sec. 701-2 .)
