Providing Information
When a person applies for Medicaid, HHSC asks for verification and any other information needed to make sure all the requirements for Medicaid are met. HHSC asks for information about income, resources and other eligibility requirements.
As a requirement of Medicaid, a person must provide HHSC MEPD staff with the necessary verification and information to determine Medicaid eligibility.
If HHSC sends an applicant or authorized representative (AR) a request for missing information, verification or both, the applicant or AR must provide the requested information to HHSC by the due date given in the request, or eligibility may be denied.
