NON-EDUCATION, NON-WORK COMPONENT: SUPERVISED JOB SEARCH Provide a summary of the State guidelines implementing supervised job search. The state will require that all supervised job search participants use the Department of Employment & Workforce's virtual online job search system to search for employment. The virtual online job search system in South Carolina is called South Carolina Works Online System, or SCWOS. The Department of Employment & Workforce is South Carolina's labor agency. Describe the direct path to employment. SCDSS SNAP E&T Coordinators have been co-located in these centers and will have the responsibility of providing supervision for E&T participants engaging in the supervised job search component. E&T Coordinators have access to the SCWOS database and are able to virtually monitor or supervise all participant’s job searches. E&T Coordinators are also able to pull individual job search reports and determine the feasibility of jobs applied for by each participant using SCWOS. E&T Coordinators are also able to virtually assist participants by sending custom employment opportunities to participants through the system by matching their qualifications (from assessments) and sending links to apply for specific jobs. E&T Coordinators are able to view jobs applied for by participants (i.e. actual application submissions). SCWOS also shows the date and time a participant logged into the database. This virtual component can be utilized in any location, thereby assisting participants with transportation or childcare employment barriers. Indicate the Target Population this component will serve. Select all that apply. ABAWDs Homeless Returning citizens (aka: ex-offenders) Single parents Students Those that reside in rural areas Underemployed Veterans Describe the criteria for participation. Include the skills, knowledge, or experience necessary for participation in the component. For example, literacy or numeracy levels, recent labor market attachment, computer literacy, etc. Based on their assessment, all E&T participants who are considered work ready, computer literate, and seeking immediate employment may participate in the SJS component. 1/29/26, 9:36 AM State Plan SC FY26 - Original Submission https://dam-fns.usda.gov/sites/default/files/microsite/snapet-scfy26stateplan//index.html 50/125
