403.01 Introduction

The Optional State Supplementation (OSS) program (OSS) assists certain individuals who reside in a Community Residential Care Facility (CRCF) licensed by the Department of Public Health (DPH). The eligibility determination for this group is based on strict Supplemental Security Income (SSI) criteria.

The OSS program provides Medicaid coverage, and it can pay a supplement directly to the CRCF to assist with the cost of living in the facility.
