The Agency may use SDX and BENDEX data to verify other SNAP eligibility criteria, such as identity, Medicare premium and SCCAP determination. The household will be given an opportunity to verify the information from another source if the SDX or BENDEX information is contradictory to the information provided by the household or is unavailable. Determination of the household's eligibility and benefit level will not be delayed past the application processing time standards of Section 6.1 Normal Processing Standards if SDX or BENDEX data is unavailable.
The Agency must obtain information through IEVS and SVES and use it to verify the eligibility and benefit level of applicants and participating households.
IEVS and SVES must be matched at each SNAP application/reapplication, recertification action (36-month, 24-month, annual, interim contact, six-month and tri-annual), as well as when adding new individuals (including a previously sanctioned individual) to a SNAP household. Interfaces and query systems that must be reviewed prior to certification include: • BENDEX Information • Child Support Payments • Lottery or Gambling Winnings (Section 14.11 Disqualification for Substantial Lottery or Gambling Winnings) • National Disqualification Query (NDQ)/eDisqualified Recipient Subsystem (eDRS) (Section 20.6 Disqualified Recipient electronic Subsystem [eDRS]) • New Hires Inquiry • Prisoner Match (Section 15.7, Unclear Information) • S.C. Retirement System Data • SDX Information • Special Benefit Data • SSA Death Match (Section 15.7, Unclear Information) • State Wage Data • Unemployment Compensation Benefit (UCB) The Agency will take action, including proper notices to households, to terminate, deny, or reduce benefits based on information obtained through IEVS which is considered verified upon receipt. This includes verification of SSA and SSI benefit information obtained from SSA; and verification of SC State Retirement income, UCB and TANF obtained from the agencies administering those programs.
