127.7 Temporary Absence of the TANF Child or Specified Relative

A TANF child continues to be eligible for TANF during temporary separation of the child and the specified relative when:

The TANF child is temporarily absent from the specified relative's home; or

55 Pa. Code § 151.43(d)

The specified relative is temporarily absent from the home.

Temporary absence of the child or specified relative does not affect the specified relative’s continuing responsibility for the care and control of the child during the separation. The child must continue to meet TANF requirements. A TANF child who lives at a school they are attending remains eligible for TANF as long as parental control is not given to school authorities.
