872 Chapter 5:Temporary Assistance for Domestic Violence Survivors (TA-DVS) Program • Section 2: Application (07/2026) determined the contact address is safe, ODHS will create the appropriate notice and store in a file with the application documents. The application is held in pending status in ONE for 30 days. If no contact after the end of the 30 days occurs, ONE will generate the appropriate denial notice denying the application, and will generate a task for support staff to notify the family coach that the notices needs to be provided. If it is not known whether the address or phone number is safe, the notice would be kept in the electronic case file. Do not leave any detailed voice messages, and case note action taken and why. When a new application is required If an applicant has completed an agency approved application in the past 30 days and no eligibility determination was made, update the application as appropriate with current information. Do not have the applicant complete a new one. If benefits were denied within 30 days and there has been no change of circumstances, the applicant can request a hearing. If the applicant has had a change in circumstances, take a new application. Note: An agency approved application for TA-DVS includes the (DHS 0415F) or completion of data collection in worker portal. Notices should be sent to a safe mailing address or hand-delivered. Exercise caution when issuing notices to DV households: • When possible, hand-deliver in the office or at a safe meeting place with survivor. • Verify with the participant that using the mailing address is safe. • If unable to mail, narrate the notice and keep a copy in file.
