The individual makes deposits from their earnings, and these are matched by a combination of government and private-sector funds. In ONE, earnings deposited into an Individual Development Account are coded on the Earned Income screen: • Earned Income Category – Wages • Earned Income Type - Earnings Deposited into an Individual Development Account For all programs except SNAP, deposits from the account holder’s earnings are excluded from gross income. For SNAP, the deposits remain countable earned income. For all programs: • Matching deposits and interest earned by the IDA accounts are excluded from income. • IDA accounts are excluded from resources. • Interest earned by the IDA savings account is excluded from income. For OSIPM, count all income deposited into an IDA savings account as earned income for patient liability calculations. For all programs except OSIPM and MSP, if an individual makes an emergency withdrawal from the IDA savings account, that income is counted as lump-sum income. For OSIPM and MSP, emergency withdrawals from an IDA savings account are excluded. For HSD medical programs, earnings deposited into an individual development account are counted for monthly and annual income.
