Deadlines for Case Actions 2026 Appendix B-2 1/1/2026 Page 1 of 1 Deadlines for Processing Actions Requiring Advance Notice When Oklahoma Human Services (OKDHS) Adult and Family Services (AFS) staff takes a negative action requiring a 10-calendar day advance notice, staff must process the change by the dates listed to be effective on the first day of the next month for all actions except child care closures. Child Care Subsidy closure effective dates vary depending upon the circumstance. Refer to Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC) 340:40-9-2(f) for information on child care advance notice closure deadline effective dates. January 21 for February 2026 February 18 for March 2026 March 19 for April 2026 April 20 for May 2026 May 21 for June 2026 June 18 for July 2026 July 21 for August 2026 August 20 for September 2026 September 17 for October 2026 October 21 for November 2026 November 19 for December 2026 December 21 for January 2027 When OKDHS AFS staff takes an action that does not require advance notice, staff must process the change by the dates listed to be effective the first of the following month for all actions except child care changes. The Child Care Subsidy deadline is always on the 27th day of each month as child care authorizations are sent to the electronic benefit transfer vendor the evening of the 27th to be effective the first of the next month.
