Description Promotes school success and connects families with community services and resources, positively impacting difficult situations that may affect students’ ability to succeed in the classroom, allowing teachers to focus on teaching and students to focus on learning. School-based services and referrals to community resources, including relationship education, parenting classes, barrier removal, tutoring, after-school programs, mentoring, and mental health support, are essential for strengthening family units and promoting educational success among Oklahoma’s youth. These programs help reduce crises and empower families to make positive relationship choices, which students can emulate as they grow into financially stable and healthy adults. Offering these services in schools enhances graduation rates and financial stability, fostering secure two-parent households and reducing teen pregnancies and divorce.
