For years beginning with 2026, the UI wage base will be calculated as 18% of the state’s average annual wage (calculated using the four most recent quarters of published New York State quarterly census of employment and wages data), rounded up to the nearest $100. It cannot be reduced from prior years. The 2026 UI wage base is $17,600.
