The Unemployment Insurance State Information Data Exchange System (SIDES), is a web‑based system that allows the Department of Labor and employers to communicate directly and efficiently when an individual files a new UI claim. The system transmits questions from the Department of Labor about UI claims by former employees directly to you, so that we can promptly process claims and avoid fraud in the system. Created in partnership with the National Association of State Workforce Agencies, SIDES will help you or your representative (for example, a third‑party administrator) respond to questions about claims easily, accurately, and in a timely manner.
