_____________________________________________________________________________ DIVISION OF WELFARE AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES Child Care Policy Manual It is the provider’s responsibility to inform Child Care staff of any rate changes they may have. Verification of changes must be received, and Child Care staff must implement the changes no later than the second month following the month it was reported. Once the change is made in the computer system, the new rate is effective the second month after the month the change is made. Example: If the rate change is entered into the computer system on 8/15, the effective date would be 10/1. 633 State Maximum Rates Every two years the maximum state reimbursement rate is evaluated for each care level provider type and geographical area as determined by DWSS. If a provider’s rates exceed the State Maximum Rate, the parent/guardian is responsible for payment of the overages to the provider. If a provider is being paid at the State Maximum Rate and a state rate increase occurs, the provider records must be reviewed to determine accurate payment rate information. This process must be completed by the effective date of the State Maximum Rate change. 633.1 Non-Licensed and License-Exempt Daily Rates 1 = Non-Licensed 2 = License-Exempt (Before & After School Care Center) MARKET AREA PROVIDER TYPE INFANTS (0-1YRS) TODDLERS (1-3YRS) PRESCHOOL 3-6YRS) SCHOOL AGE (6YRS+) CLARK COUNTY 1 23.00 20.00 19.00 18.00 2 N/A N/A 15.00 15.00 WASHOE COUNTY 1 23.00 20.00 18.00 17.00 2 N/A N/A 15.00 15.00 CARSON/DOUGLAS COUNTIES 1 20.00 18.00 17.00 15.00 2 N/A N/A 15.00 15.00 RURAL COUNTIES (Churchill, Elko, Esmeralda, Humboldt, Lander, Lincoln, Mineral, Nye, Pershing, Storey, White Pine) 1 18.00 17.00 16.00 16.00 2 N/A N/A 15.00 15.00 600-Provider Information [13] MTL 01/24 July 1, 2024
