State Plan NM FY26 - Amendment 1 Page of 64 99 NON-EDUCATION, NON-WORK COMPONENT: SUPERVISED JOB SEARCH Provide a summary of the State guidelines implementing supervised job search. Supervised Job Search (SJS) will occur at State-approved locations at which participant activities are directly supervised, and the timing and activities of participants are tracked. We hold participants accountable through clear expectations, structured follow up, and required documentation. To meet the regulatory requirement that SJS occur at Stateapproved locations where participants have access to necessary tools, we will implement a flexible, multiformat model that includes: • Inperson supervised job search at our designated sites • Virtual supervised job search using approved platforms, including State job portals, video meeting tools, and secure case management systems • Hybrid options to support participants with transportation, technology, or scheduling barriers SJS Components outline: • Identifying in Demand Job Opportunities • Application of Effective Job Techniques • Enhance Digital Literacy • Demonstrate Interview Readiness • Document Job Search Activities • Engage in Coaching and Continuous Improvement SJS ensures participants receive consistent oversight, meaningful engagement, and high-quality support during active job search activities. This includes monitoring participation, documenting job search efforts, providing coaching and barrier-removal assistance, and leveraging data systems for accuracy and accountability. By delivering SJS internally through EQUUS staff and systems, they ensure: • Clear separation of SNAP E&T participant pathways • Compliance with SNAP E&T requirements for oversight and documentation • A structured alternative for participants who are not yet Title I ready but still need direct supervision during job search A log tacking system will allow us to monitor participation, track activities, and document job search efforts in accordance with SNAP E&T expectations. Describe the direct path to employment. The objective is to support participants during the active job search phase with supervision, documentation, and coaching to improve job placement outcomes. This is delivered through EQUUS-operated offices, virtual platforms (Teams, RingCentral), and phone-based sessions. Documentation from each job search action recorded with employer details, application status, coaching provided, and timelines. Consistent with the federal definition, supervision will be provided by trained Career Navigators who can deliver meaningful guidance. Staff will ensure participants are: searching for jobs that match their needs and interests, receiving 1:1 assistance, and engaging in activities that directly increase employment opportunities (i.e. attend job fair).
