19. Who is required to participate in PDIS, and what are the requirements?
Licensed providers, including licensed centers, licensed homes, and licensed out-of-school time programs, must participate in the Professional Development Information System (PDIS) under the current child care licensing regulations. Licensed providers must participate in PDIS even if they do not accept Child Care Assistance. Providers are responsible for maintaining complete, up-to-date personnel records for each staff member, including substitutes and volunteers working more than six hours of any week and having direct contact with children.
You can view the current requirements for licensed child care providers to participate in PDIS in 8.9.4.22(F), 8.9.4.32(E), and 8.9.4.41(E) New Mexico Administrative Code (NMAC): Click here for 8.9.4 NMAC .
