5. Will providers be required to be open for extended hours?
No, providers are not required to be open for extended hours or to change their hours of operation. Providers who choose to be open ten hours a day, five days a week and meet minimum pay requirements for their staff will be paid a higher reimbursement rate as detailed in 8.9.3 NMAC. Only providers who wish to qualify for this enhanced rate must be open for the ten-hour time period.
