N.J.A.C. 10:71-9.1 This file includes all Regulations adopted and published through the New Jersey Register, Vol. 57 No. 12, June 16, 2025 NJ - New Jersey Administrative Code > TITLE 10. HUMAN SERVICES > CHAPTER 71. MEDICAID ONLY > SUBCHAPTER 9. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE AGED CONTINUATION § 10:71-9.1 General statement The Medical Assistance for the Aged Continuation (MAAC) provides payment for the costs of medical services for certain former beneficiaries of the program of Medical Assistance for the Aged (MAA). Eligibility is based on continued medical need and lack of eligibility for any other program through which the cost of medical care is provided. Beneficiaries receive the full spectrum of Medicaid services. History HISTORY: Amended by R.2000 d.415, effective October 16, 2000. See: 32 N.J.R. 2565(a), 32 N.J.R. 3844(a). Substituted references to beneficiaries for references to recipients throughout. Annotations Notes Chapter Notes Case Notes Disabled recipient who was denied continued eligibility for in-community personal care under the Medicaid waiver program won reversal of denial because the agency made one attempt to obtain information on a term insurance policy that was no longer in effect. Even though it was then established that the policy was a term policy with no cash or surrender value that had lapsed years earlier, the agency ungenerously had refused to waive a few week delay on the submission.
