224.01 Verification: HCBC-ABD (AAM)

Verify categorical eligibility and medical need for HCBC-ABD at the initial eligibility determination and at subsequent redeterminations.

Acceptable verification documents all of the following:

. individual is 22 years of age or older;

. individual meets categorical requirements for the program of assistance being requested or received;

. individual is appropriate for ABD services as determined by the DDS area agency; and

. medical necessity for a skilled nursing or rehabilitative level of care as determined by DDS.
