002.04(B)(iv) SPECIAL PROCEDURES FOR FARMING SELF-EMPLOYMENT INCOME.
If the allowable costs of producing self-employment farm income are verified with a tax return and exceed the gross farm income, the losses are offset against other countable income. To qualify for this offset, the person must receive or anticipate receiving annual gross proceeds of $1,000 or more from the farming enterprise. If a tax return is not provided to document the costs of producing self- employment farm income, a standard disregard of 49% is applied to the gross income. A loss is not allowed.
