001.06(D) APPLYING FOR A SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.

Individuals who wish to participate in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program but do not have a social security number are referred to their local Social Security Administration Office to apply for a social security number. Once an application for a social security number has been completed, the individual may participate during the period the social security number is being obtained from the Social Security Administration.
