In compliance with federal and state statutes, the North Carolina Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) State Plan for FFY 2016-2019 was developed in consultation with local governments and private sector organizations regarding the plan and design of public assistance in the State so that services are provided in a manner appropriate to local populations. The draft of the Plan was posted for public comment on December 21, 2015 and was posted for the required 45-day period.
