Secretary has determined that the Montana Plan First section 1115 demonstration is likely to assist in promoting the objectives of the Medicaid program
Consideration of Public Comments
Consistent with federal transparency requirements, CMS considers all public comments received during both the state and federal public comment periods when evaluating whether the demonstration project as a whole will likely assist in promoting the objectives of Medicaid. Montana received one comment supporting the extension request by stating that federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) around the state have expressed appreciation for the demonstration, and the demonstration fills the family planning needs of women who do not otherwise qualify for Medicaid. CMS received no public comments.
