The majority of center-based providers reported charging tuition when the facility is closed for holidays or if the child is absent due to illness or family vacation. Seventy-three percent of providers reported that they charge a one-time registration fee. Event or trip fees (42.6%) and activity fees (31%) were also fairly common.
