OBTAINING THE SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER The Social Security numbers for all individuals in the assistance unit must be provided and documented in the case record and in MAVERICS. If previous documentation appears incorrect, ask the payee to provide additional information to resolve the discrepancy. If the payee states that the individual has a SSN, the EW may obtain the SSN from any of these sources, if verification is necessary to resolve a discrepancy: 3. The individual's Social Security card.
