An individual is ineligible to receive benefits if s/he is a student and does not meet or is not exempt from meeting eligible student criteria. Eligible student status is recorded on the Education/Student Information (FMAJ) screen. FAMIS determines the student is eligible or ineligible based on the worker’s offline determination entered on the screen.

Refer to Food Stamp Manual section 1135.025.00 Students in Institutions of Higher Education for policy on student criteria.
