Child Care Assistance Program Policy Manual Issued 03/2021 Schedule verification – Employment and education 7.27 Verification types Examples of acceptable verification of schedule include, but are not limited to: • Class schedule with days and times of class, printed from a website. • Statement from the employer with the days and times that the client is scheduled to work. This could be an email from the employer using an employer email address. • Paystub if the days and times worked are listed. • Copy or picture of the schedule that the employer posts to show the days and times that the client is scheduled to work. If proof is not available despite the efforts of you and the client, you may obtain a signed statement from the client with the days and times worked or the days and times that classes meet, attesting to the correctness of the information. Self-employment schedule verification Business records or a signed statement from the client with the days and times worked can be used to verify self-employment work schedules. Failure to provide schedule verification Verification of employment schedule and/or class schedule is needed to determine the appropriate number of hours of care to authorize. Verification of employment schedule and/or class schedule is NOT a condition of eligibility. If verification of the employment schedule and/or class schedule is not provided at application or redetermination but all other eligibility requirements are met, the case should be suspended until the schedule verification is received. During the 12-month eligibility period, if schedule verification is not received for Schedule Reports, care should be suspended. During the 12-month eligibility, if schedule verification is not received for 12-Month Reporters, the authorization continues until redetermination.
