BRIDGES ADMINISTRATIVE MANUAL STATE OF MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES
Note: The cutoff date for entering the receipt of a timely hearing request for the State SSI payment program is the payroll run date for case digit ending in 9; see Reference Schedules Manual (RFS) 106. If a hearing request was received timely but was not entered on Bridges by this date, send a copy of the hearing request to the State SSI Payment Unit at SSI-Bridges-Coord@michigan.gov. The State SSI Payment Unit will issue a supplemental payment. • Prepare a DHS-3050, Hearing Summary. The hearing summary must include the information that the specialist views on materials obtained from SSA. Example SDX or SOLQ. • Do not include a SOLQ within the hearing packet. Contact the State SSI Payment Unit at SSI-Bridges-Coord@michigan.gov for assistance if the SOLQ fails to explain the action taken. • Represent the department at the hearing. • If the hearing decision reverses the action taken by the department, issue a supplemental payment. Prepare for the hearing under the guidance of the SSI Payments Unit staff, as needed. SSI Payments Unit staff will not participate in the hearing but are available for consultation regarding: • Preparation of the hearing summary, and • Presentation of the case at hearing. If the SSI Payments Unit determines the disputed case action should be reversed, it will take all actions required. Inform MOAHR of the reversal in writing. MOAHR will then dismiss the hearing request. EVIDENCE
