Removal

1. Probationary period. A chief assessor serving a probationary period may be removed by the executive committee upon 30 days' written notice stating the reason for the removal. 2. Tenure. A chief assessor who has tenure may be removed for cause by the executive committee in the manner provided for the removal of town managers in Title 30-A, section 2633 . 3. Certification revoked. A chief assessor whose certification is revoked by the State Tax Assessor must be removed from office immediately. 4. Lapsed or expired certification.
