Authority 7 CFR 246.4(b) Policy The State Agency shall establish a procedure to solicit public comment on the WIC annual State agency plan. Procedures 1. State Agency shall offer a comment period to the general public on the Maine WIC State Plan on the WIC website www.maine.gov/wic.

2. The State Agency shall discuss significant proposed changes with the Local Agency Directors at a Directors’ meeting prior to State Plan submission.

3. The State Agency shall accept feedback from the general public and the Local Agency Directors continuously on the State Agency plan. The State Agency shall evaluate if the change merit’s submitting an amendment to the State Agency plan or wait for the annual renewal and revision period.
