School Readiness Tax Credits (SRTCs) Teaching and Learning Reminders & Updates In order to claim family, teacher, or director School Readiness Tax Credits, individuals must ﬁle a tax return. ● The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to lower-income individuals who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns.
