H-641.5 Eligibility Decision Evaluate all eligibility requirements and verifications received to make the eligibility decision. Retro decision could not be made prior to January 1988.

Reminder: Explore Retroactive Medical Eligibility. Refer to H-1800.

H-641.6 Certification Period The certification period cannot exceed 12 months.

Eligibility must end when the beneficiary becomes entitled to Medicare.

H-641.7 Notice of Decision Send the appropriate notice of decision to the applicant/beneficiary.
