Date Event Description 1 07/24/2025 A presentation was made to the Interim Joint Committee on Natural lResources and Energy with information for LIHEAP FFY 2025-2026. 11.3. How many parties commented on your plan at the hearing(s)? 3 11.4 Summarize the comments you received at the hearing(s). Comments included how vital LIHEAP is to residents of the Commonwealth. Sen. Smith "the program has been a godsend." Rep. McCool asked how "SIR" savings to investment ratio is measured. "Mr. Baker(CAK Executive Director presenting to the Legislature) answered, "the measures have to show the return on the investment is greater than the cost of materials." Sen Herron asked about the breakdown of recipients between renters and homeowners. Baker answered he did not have the answer at hand, but would provide it to him. The next potential hurdle being the federal appropriations in the fall. Co-Chair Goodch supported LIHEAP for years. Said" it is a great program helping folks in need." 11.5 What changes did you make to your LIHEAP plan as a result of public participation and solicitation of input? No comments resulted in any changes to be made in the upcoming LIHEAP plan.
