Volume 2A – Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Work Requirements MS 1100 - R. 9/1/26 – OMTL - 707 Work Registration Overview
A. [Work registration is a technical eligibility factor for participation in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Every able-bodied household member aged 16-59 must agree to work register unless otherwise exempt.]
B. Nonexempt members must agree to work register every 12 months at application, recertification, or member add.
Ineligibility of the member or correct discontinuance of the member's case for any reason does not void the member's work registration, as the member is considered work registered, along with all other household members required to work register, when the SNAP application is signed.
C. Excluded household members are required to register for work unless otherwise exempt. This includes ineligible immigrants, members who are serving an Intentional Program Violation (IPV) disqualification, or individuals removed from the case for failure to provide a verified Social Security number (SSN).
