MS 3050 EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING PROGRAM OVERVIEW (1)
[The Employment and Training (E&T) Program is an opportunity for SNAP recipients aged 16 to 64 to participate in allowable E&T activities. This program is offered to SNAP recipients statewide and provides opportunities for education and training activities to increase participants’ chances of finding employment and self- sufficiency. Participating in E&T can also be an option for an ABAWD to meet their work requirement.]
After the SNAP recipient completes the screening and is deemed a good fit for E&T, they can choose to participate in the program. Upon disposition, a referral is sent to the local E&T Provider. The E&T Provider will reach out by mail, phone, text, or email to conduct an E&T assessment. Once the assessment is complete, the participant is referred/placed into an approved E&T component or referred to an approved E&T partner for services. Please refer to MS 3100 for the approved components.
