Volume 2 – Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) MS 6490 – R. 5/31/26 – OMTL – 695 Snap Interim Review Verification Requirements

Review all information reported by the household on Form FS-2 SNAP Mid Review and update the case information if a change is reported. The household has until the 17th day of the month to provide the FS-2 and any required verification. If the 17th falls on a weekend or holiday, verification is due the first business day after the weekend or holiday.

The household’s statement is accepted for all changes except:

A. Changes in the source(s) of income, unearned income amount of more than $100 per household member, as well as changes in a household member’s employer, salary, or wage rate, and/or full or part-time employment status must be verified.

B. Income, or the lack of income, for any new adult household member.

C. Verify changes in the legal obligation to pay child support, including the amount of the obligation. Also, verify the amount of child support the household pays to individuals outside the household. Reported information that does not indicate a change is verified only if the information is incomplete, inaccurate, inconsistent, or outdated; and

D. Any questionable information.

[If verification of any questionable information is not received, the case will discontinue on the 17th day of the month.]
