E. For two homeless households living together temporarily and incurring shared shelter expenses, allow each household the Homeless Standard allowance if they choose to use it. Do not pro-rate the standard between the two households.

Example: Two households share a total rent or utility payment of $100. $50 is each household’s share. Each household is eligible to use the Homeless Standard allowance.

Document the case regarding the households’ use of actual utility expenses or shared shelter expenses.
