This category is identified in IEDSS as MA I. To be eligible in this category, an individual must be entitled to Medicare Part A.12 There is a cap amount for QIs each year. MA I pay the Medicare Part B premium.13 An individual eligible under any other Medicaid category cannot be eligible as a QI.
