PROGRAM CHANGES Summarize changes for the upcoming Federal fiscal year (FY) from the prior FY. Significant changes may include new initiatives, changes in funding or funding sources, policy changes, or significant changes to the number of partners or participants. Significant changes could include those made as a result of management evaluation findings or participation in program improvement initiatives, such as SNAP to Skills. It is not necessary to include changes made as a result of new Federal rulemaking. The State is actively exploring the following opportunities for implementation in FY26: • Identify and onboard new providers, especially in downstate Illinois to address existing service gaps. • Strengthen partnerships with American Job Centers and the community college system to leverage established workforce infrastructure to expand SNAP E&T. • Raise awareness about SNAP E&T among community partners and ABAWDs through additional marketing and outreach efforts. • Begin intentional, meaningful engagement with Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation, in collaboration with the FNS Midwest Regional Office (MWRO). Highlight any changes from above that the State agency is making to the E&T program based on the prior year’s performance, for instance changes made as a result of E&T outcome and participation data. Based on surveys and regular technical assistance calls with SNAP E&T providers, the State made several improvements to the Illinois SNAP E&T System (ISETS) to improve the user interface and experience and enhance the accuracy and trust in SNAP E&T data reporting. 1/28/26, 11:56 AM State Plan IL FY26 - Original Submission https://dam-fns.usda.gov/sites/default/files/microsite/snapet-ilfy26stateplan//index.html 5/268
