WAG 01-05-04: Suspected Abuse and Neglect of Disabled Adults (Age 18-59)

Contact OIG to report suspicions of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a disabled adult even if you are not sure whether the disabled person participates in a DHS sponsored program, or is mentally or physically able to seek help. OIG staff will help determine which agency, if any, should receive a report.

Examples of DHS sponsored programs in the community include:

Centers for Independent Living (CILS);

Day Training Programs;

Sheltered Workshops;

Office of Rehabilitation Services (ORS) Home Services;

Community Intergrated Living Arrangements (CILA's).
