Restitution Legal reference: 7 CFR 273.16(b) The remaining household members must agree to make restitution within 30 days of the date the DIA Investigations Division mails the written demand letter to the household. All restitution must be made in accordance with established procedures for cash or coupon repayment or allotment reduction. (See 7-H, Intentional Program Violation Claim.) If the household members do not agree to make restitution or fail to make restitution, the household’s monthly allotment will be reduced.
